New Partnership Brings Expansion Into Boston Area

We are honored to announce our partnership with Chica Project, a nonprofit whose mission is closely aligned with our own. They seek to close the opportunity divide for Latinas and other Women of Color by empowering them with the skills, confidence, and network necessary to thrive personally and professionally.

Located in the Boston area, Chica Project serves young Latinas and other Women of Color who have been systematically disconnected from economic opportunity, resulting in limited access to education, financial stability, social capital, political power, and sufficient human services. They addresses this opportunity divide by providing young, urban Latinas who are growing up in communities disconnected from economic opportunity and influence with access to intergenerational mentorship, professional employment experience, and leadership development.

Our first project together will be a public speaking workshop in Fall 2021.

“We are excited about our expansion into the Boston Region and working with such a dynamic nonprofit who is expanding opportunities and providing support for women who are economically marginalized”, said Beth Bengtson, Founder and CEO of Working for Women.
